Rachel Lynn Houston, 69, passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at Atrium Health High Point Medical Center following several years of declining health.
Rachel was born in High Point, October 19, 1955, a daughter of the late William Daniel Howard and Margie Ellen Dixon Howard. She loved being a caregiver to her family and friends, playing computer games and caring for the neighborhood cats. She was preceded in death by her sister, Rhonda Paul.
Surviving is her husband, Raymond Houston; a son, Matthew Slaughter and his wife Pamela; a step-daughter, Michelle Frazier; two brothers, Robbie Howard and his wife Lynn and Rickie Howard and his wife Valerie; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A Celebration of Rachels’s life will be held Friday, December 27, 2024 at 7 p.m. in the Advantage Funeral and Cremation Chapel by the Rev. Chris Munday. The family will receive friends following the service until 8:30 p.m.
