James Preston Edwards

James was born in Boissevain, Virginia on February 26, 1939, son of the late Floyd Hubert and Ollie Mae Dillon Edwards. James served in the Coast Guard, four years active, two years reserve. James owned and operated James Edwards Paint Contractors for over 30 years. He loved to restore and make things "pretty". His favorite color was green and loved traveling to the mountains. He enjoyed listening to bluegrass music. Anyone that knew James knew his greatest love was his family!

James was preceded in death by five brothers; Robert, Lee, Wayne, Arthur, and Billy Edwards.

Surviving are his wife of 57 loving years, Delois Edwards, son, Tim Edwards (Arrah), daughter, Tammy West (Ricky), three grandchildren: Danielle Bryant, Leanne West, and William West (Josy) and numerous nieces and nephews

A Celebration of James life will be held at Advantage Funeral and Cremations in Archdale on Thursday January 25 at 2p.m. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6-7p.m. Online condolences may be may at AdvantageArchdale.com
