Darrell was born on February 14, 1956, in Scotland County. He served as a volunteer fire firefighter in McColl, S.C., in 1976. Darrell enjoyed going to the beach and lake, fishing on the pier, playing cards, and spending time with family.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Othelia McMeen, in addition to his brother, Robert Stewart.
Darrell is survived by his children: Brock McCullum and wife Stephanie of McColl, S.C., and Greg Sikes, Jr. of Laurinburg, N.C.; grandchildren: Anna Grace McCullum of McColl, S.C., Kali Sikes and Greg Sikes III of Laurinburg, N.C.; siblings: Joseph Larry Stewart and wife Laura of Laurinburg, N.C., Faye Stewart Curry of Randleman, N.C., and Terry Stewart and wife Sherry of Wilmington, N.C.; 10 nieces and nephews and 14 great nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services, 120 Trindale Road, Archdale, NC 27263, with Pastor John Shook officiating.
