James Whitfield King passed away peacefully on July 31, 2024 at the age of 89. James was born to James and Laura King in Texas on September 18, 1934. He had a long fulfilling career as an auto mechanic for years. He was a hardworking man and provided for his wife, Mary Christene King, and 6 children, Gene King, wife Annie King, Krystle Elaine King, Richard Daniel King, wife Wendy Lynn King, Jimmy King, Laura Rebecca Pomponio and husband Rob Pomponio, and Christopher L. King. He is survived by his children, his sister, Dorothy Calderia, and 16 grandchildren.
James had a passion for working on classic cars and was a proud owner of many Hot Rods throughout his life. He loved going to classic car shows and going to car part swap meets. In later years, James really loved going out to eat with his car buddies, who will miss him dearly.
A graveside service for James will be held Monday, August 19, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Sunset Hills Mortuary & Memorial Park, 24000 Waalew Road, Apple Valley, California 92307.
He will now be together with his beloved wife. His presence is missed. All that had the pleasure of having him in their lives cherish those memories and miss him dearly.
