Georgia Ann Burkett Jairett

Georgia was born in Connersville, Indiana to George and Mildred Howard. Georgia was the first born of four children. She is survived by her husband of 20 years, William Jairett, Sister Robyn Welch, Brother Barry Howard (Vicki), Brother-in-Law Don Jairett (Pam); as well as her stepchildren Timothy Jairett, Tamara Jairett, and Grandson Ryan Strickler. Georgia leaves behind a loving family of nieces, nephews, cousins, and cherished friends. Georgia is predeceased by her brother Edward Howard and sister-in-law Bonnie Gaskins.

Georgia dedicated her career life of 22 years to Orlando Utilities Commission as a HR employee benefits coordinator. Georgia was one of the first community crew members and credited for starting health fairs at OUC. Upon her retirement from OUC, Georgia poured her heart and soul into the Bereavement Ministry at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church. The blessings of this ministry brought Georgia and William together.

Georgia enjoyed reading, gardening, Penn State football, and travel. One of her favorite trips was to Ireland with her loving husband William.

Georgia will be remembered for her devotion to her family. She will be dearly missed for all those fortunate to have known her.

A funeral mass for Georgia will be held Friday, October 25, 2024 at 9:00 am at St Patrick Catholic Church, 6803 Old Hwy 441, Mount Dora, FL 32757. Interment will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Park, 2300 Temple Drive, Winter Park, Florida 32789.
