Vincent was native to Jackson Heights, New York, born on January 4, 1920 to the late Joseph Vincent Romeo and Angelina (Messina) Romeo.
Vincent was a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving as a Captain in WWII in the European Theatre and was the receipient of 2 purple hearts and 2 bronze stars. He was an active member of the USO. He was a law professor at the University of Notre Dame for several years before becoming a corporate lawyer for Miles Laboratories where he retired as Executive Vice President in 1968. Once retired Vincent and his family moved to Europe to begin a career as an International Consultant. After his journey in Europe, Vincent owned and developed the Kenmure Residential and Golf Community in Flat Rock, North Carolina. Spending his last 15 years residing in Morrisville, North Carolina to be near family.
Vincent is preceded in death by his mother, Angelina Romeo; his father, Joseph Vincent Romeo; his brother, Bruno Romeo; his sister, Mary Romeo and his niece, Fairfid Romeo; his beloved friends Perry Como and his wife, Roselle Como.
Vincent is survived by his loving wife of nearly 75 years, Gudrun (Boehringer) Romeo; daughters, Karen Viser and husband John, Gina Romeo; sons, Vincent Romeo and wife Karen, Jeff Romeo and wife Stacie, Denis Romeo and wife Cookie; eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Inurnment will be held at 3:30pm on Monday, March 1, 2021 at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in the Columbarium, 725 Magdala Pl. Apex, NC 27502 with Monsignor Donald Staib presiding.
All who wish to attend, please be mindful of the restrictions in place due to COVID-19. Mask wearing will be required and social distancing is kindly requested by the family for everyones safety.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Vincent's honor to St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, 725 Magdala Place, Apex, NC 27502.
