The last time I saw Rick was at my mom’s (Anne V. Weinert) funeral. He was so supportive and helped us all through a very difficult time. I believed I would see him more in upcoming years and share with him how much his kindness meant. Now instead, I send my condolences and prayers for his family’s comfort during more difficult days. I will always remember Rick, my cousin, and his parents and family from my childhood days in Omaha, in the early sixties. I wish I could be there, but will join online. My thoughts, prayers, and condolences are with you.

To JoAnn an family,  I was shocked to hear of Ricks' passing.  I assumed we would have a few more visits, but it was not to be.  
I will always cherish our friendship.  We had many good times together.
We met in September, 1969, at Iowa State University.  Me a farm boy and Rick a city kid.  We lived in Wilson Hall, Greene house, 2nd floor.  Rick was our Head Resident, which means rode herd on us!  With no dorm meals on Sunday night  we would go to Shaky's Pizza in west Ames.  For $10 we could get a large pizza and 3 soft drinks; enough for Rick, my roommate, Gary, and me.   
Rick invited me to travel to Omaha on some ocassions  so he could see JoAnn.  And JoAnn, you never seemed to mind when I was the 3rd wheel; thank you. You and Rick tookme to the movie Mash at, I believe the Astro Theater, that had high back seats.  Years  later I reconized that building when I was in Omaha.   In about 1973, I road my 750 Honda to Greenbay to visit you.  Rick, was a baby then.  In 1976, I flew to Cincinnati for your 25th anniversary.
There I had the privilege to meet your sons, Rick, David and Jon.
They are impressive young men.  I appreciated the welcome they gave me,  Some time later, Sandy and I met you at the Organ Piper near Miami I think.  Sandy's sisters lived in Van Wert.  The trip to Ellijay was a memorable relaxing time for us both.  Watching the morning fog rise from the valleys was a new and amazing experience for us.  Ricks grilled apple bacon for breakfast showed-off his cooking skills, and you, JoAnn, were always the perfect hostess.  These are just a few of the many stories and memories that I have cherished over the years.
Space here doesn't allow for more of the wonderful memories.
I looked up-to, and admired, Rick.  I loved him like an older brother.
He was 2 years and 1 day older than I.
He is my most cherished unforgettable friend.  I regret now, not having spent more time with him.   My tears are welling up now.

Dear JoAnn, Ricky David, Jon and family, We are so deeply sorry and our hearts are saddened by the passing of Rick. 
Even though we weren’t really for Rick to go we know he is with Our Dear Lord in heaven. Rick served his purpose here on earth and now he will spend eternity in heaven.

I will always fondly remember Rick for his professionalism, his caring nature and really fun sense of humor. This picture shows that - it was used to tell a story in the classes we taught together. He is gone too soon and I will greatly miss him. My heart and prayers are with his family, whom he always spoke of so highly - particularly his amazing wife JoAnn whom, I too, adore.

Dear family of Rick.  Good memories of Moeller High School hockey games.  JoAnn & Rick were always so gracious about entertaining the 🏒 hockey team & their  parents.  Rick will be missed by many. I'm so sad to hear of Rick's passing. He was a wonderful, caring person. Being cousins only one month apart, we had a lot of fun growing up together in our large, boisterous family.

My sincere condolences to JoAnn and family.  Rick was a Safety Consultant to ISEA, where he served as the Director of the QSSP Program, nearly 15 years. Rick led with the highest level of respect, dignity and honor.  Always with a smile and professional conduct. Grateful to have worked with Rick Raymer.  The QSSP Program and those who met him was impacted positively.  Rick will be missed.

I have so many wonderful memories growing up with Rick through grade school, high school and college. He was the best of friends and certainly had a role in who I am today. Many blessings to you JoAnn during this most difficult time.

Even though we only met once, you were a kind person and I loved your enthusiasm for the Packers and you were happy to share all your memories. I will be praying for you and your family tonight.

I had the pleasure of knowing Rick for over half my life. He was always very kind, calm, intelligent, respectful and welcoming - all traits that he clearly passed on to his three sons. When you spoke with him, you could tell he was giving you 100% of his attention and was genuinely interested and involved with the conversation. I'm sending all my love to the entire family during this very difficult time. Know that so many of the people who knew Rick are sharing in the grief you are experiencing right now. May his memory be a blessing.

So sad to hear about Rick's  passing. He was a gentle man and a wonderful neighbor. We have many wonderful years of memories of Santa Claus bringing smiles to our faces. May he rest in peace.

Rick Raymer lit up a room and many of our lives with his presence.  He was charming, thoughtful, creative and so fun to be around.  His partnership with JoAnn and their generous hospitality extended to so many of us.  Our memories are more than we can count (time in the Georgia mountains with family and friends, going to the Preakness horse race, bed and breakfast at Dolly Madison’s southern mansion, a good meal and fellowship when the Raymers came to Green Bay for a Packer game).  He lit up the room, he lit up the our hearts, and now he lights up the Heavens.  Pat and I were so blessed to be part of his journey.

A very very special man! You could see pure kindness in his eyes. He will be very missed and we will cherish all our memories with him forever.

I’ve known Rick only a few years as a fellow father-in-law. I know that he loved family social gatherings and would do the utmost to make each the best ever. His beaming smile set the mood.  He seemed to make the best of every moment. The Cromer family will deeply miss him. - Bill Cromer

I’m so sorry to hear of this devastating loss to your family.  Rick was one of the kindest men I’ve ever known.  I’m so grateful that he was the father-in-law to my sister, and grandfather to my nieces.  Anyone that knew Rick was blessed.
