Michael Scott Truelove

Scott was born on April 4, 1966 in Greensboro, NC to the late, Tommie Truelove and Joann Poole Stutts.

Scott was a free spirited person and always did things his way. He never met a stranger. Those who knew Scott, knew he loved the Dallas Cowboys and NC State Wolfpack. Scott loved going to the beach. He also cherished time with his family. Scott especially enjoyed the holidays with family and friends. Scott loved a party and a good laugh. We will miss his contagious smile, quick wit and humor. His daughter Michelle affectionately nicked named him “Big Daddy”.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his son Eric Batchelor, his grandparents Leroy And Margaret Poole and Glenn and Catherine Truelove.

He is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Michelle Tigner (Brandon); brother, Stephen T. Truelove (Janie); sister, Tara Godwin (Shannon); brother, Tracy Truelove; three grandsons, James, Jacob and Jayden Tigner; Uncle Kenneth Poole; Aunt Doris T. Presley and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends and guests on Saturday, November 13, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 1:45PM at Apex Funeral Home with a memorial service to follow at 1:45 PM. A private family graveside will take place at Oakwood Cemetery where his final resting place will be.

In honor of Scott, the family requests everyone please dress casual, Scott didn’t like to dress up. 😁
