Mary Julia Sarsfield Finnegan

Mrs. Finnegan was born on May 6, 1935 in Bronx, NY to Stephen Sarsfield and Julia Smith Sarsfield.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Thomas Finnegan; sons: Thomas Finnegan and wife Renee of Bel Aire MD, Stephen Finnegan and wife Carla of Apex, and Christopher Finnegan of Raleigh; daughters: Suzanne Bouton and husband Dave of Cary, Nina Helgans and husband Scott of Katonah NY, Terri Finnegan of Apex, and MaryJo McCarthy of Coral Springs, FL. She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm Sunday, June 27, 2010 at Apex Funeral Home, 550 W. Williams St. Apex.

A funeral mass will be held 11:00 am Monday, June 28, 2010 at St. Andrew The Apostle Catholic Church, 3008 Old Raleigh Rd, Apex, NC. Burial will follow in Wake Memorial Park, 7002 Green Hope School Rd., Cary, NC.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Triangle Down Syndrome Network or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
