I will forever think about you and the time we spent with you as students, back in 2021 being in 4th grade. The fact im going into highschool In 7th months really scares me to be honest,  Time is really scary when you think about it, How just a few seconds can completely change your life for the worse. I wish the best for your family and friends. You were a great person.

Hey, Ms stewart. Its been 3 years and 4 months already. I remember you being my 4th grade teacher in 2021. I really do miss those times and wish you were still here. It's really crazy and scary to imagine that you simply just aren't in this world anymore. I've really been thinking about you these past few days. And it's made me really sad because Your students and family will never get to see you again. And you had plans of making it home, Im going into highschool next year. Time is very scary if you think about it.

Hey Ms. Stewart, It's Pretty. I'm now in 8th grade. Everything is going great. There's never a school year I don't think about you. I always remember you saying to me not to be nervous on the first day of school so I always put that into thought. I finally reached my goal of becoming a cheerleader and I made the team.  Fun fact you and my dad share the same birthday so it's bittersweet thinking of it but I love it. I really miss you and may your legacy live on.

Hi Ms.Stewart I’m in eighth grade now iv’e come so far with all of your help and support  you were the greatest teacher probably to ever exist and we all loved you so much and you loved all of us and it was so sad the night I found out I cried for like 2 hours and my mom tried to make me feel better by taking me to a movie and I was still so upset that we didn’t go it devastated all of us that you had to go so quick

She was my 5 grade, the sweetest teacher ever. i will forever remember her. She went out of her way to care for her students, i remember she had a corner in her classroom for students when they would be anxious and she would help me so so much. it makes me so sad that she has passed away i wish i could put flowers for her but unfortunately where she was laid to rest is too far from where i currently live. Forever in my heart Mrs.stewart we love you so much!❤️💐

Noah is going into the 7th grade this year and as we were decorating his locker tonight he wanted to put a picture of you in his locker. He’s kept a picture of you on his laptop every school year to honor you. I hope you know you will always live on in the hearts of your students who knew and loved you. You have touched so many young hearts and minds. You’ve made their lives better just by being you. I happen to know a little boy who will always hold a space in his heart for you. It has been a year since you left us.  And I really miss you right now so I really wanted to talk about my life and yours. I am now in 6th grade and I also have a broken finger which reminds me of when you helped me after my twisted ankles 😅. Every first day of school since 4th grade, I thank God I met you because you helped me with my nerves. When I was in Mr. Della Rosa's class I saw your sliver candy trunk and it made me sad to think you're not passing it out to us every day for doing our work. Mrs. Stewart, I remember when you died I found out in summer school I couldn't even cry into I got home I cried a lot I miss you..,

I’m going to be honest ms.Taylor was the best teacher I can think of when I found out (today) that she died my heart dropped I froze and didn’t believe it when I got home I looked and searched and it was true you were literally like the best I remember when I was cold on east garner you had me gave me your hoodie ,I remember when u helped me figure out my bs and ds apart, I remember when u always made sure I was okay and rubbed my back and hugged me when I rlly need one ,When my stitches hurt my feet you would always let me have a min ,you were like a light into our 3rd grade class in 2017, we all love you and still do I can’t believe my favorite teacher who understood me and helped me and cared ab every last one of her  students is gone it still hurts in my heart. I remember when I called u mom on accident and you said yes my child I will always remember that day because that day was such a light, when you had your surgery for your mole I always said you looked like a pirate and you always laughed when I did you we’re never a strict teacher you always had a relationship with your students and there’s not like teaches like that anymore your smile is so bright and I will always remember your voice your laugh your smile. My condolences to her family. Over all when I graduate from high school I wanted to find u and say I did it (still in middle school) 

Ms. Taylor,
When I heard that you had passed away that Thursday night, my heart stopped. I couldn't believe that you, of all people, had to go. I broke down crying all of Friday afternoon when I heard. You were one of the best teachers I have ever had. We had such a great relationship through the years, and I couldn't wait to see you again. I remember the last time we saw each other was at the EG staff picnic, the day after my birthday. It was one of the best moments of my life when I found out that you would be my third-grade teacher. I was jumping up and down and I was so excited. I couldn't believe that you had to go this soon, but I know that Jesus has a plan for you in heaven. You have left us down here on Earth, but your spirit is still with us. To Ms. Taylor's family: I am so sorry for your loss, and my condolences are given to you. It must be hard, after 3 months of loosing her.

Mrs. Stewart, you were the best teacher to me. You helped me through hard times you took risks if I was in trouble. You were not a teacher you were a second mom to all of us . I love you so much you melt my heart. On the first day of school for 5th grade, I didn't see you, I was scared, sad that you were fired or sick. It’s been about a month now since we lost you. I miss you so much and wish you could be here so I can give you a big hug :) The way we lost you is tragic and shows that everyone’s time can be cut short. I hope your doing okay up in heaven. I love you so much, rest up <3 - Risa 

My number one favorite memory the time we were doing science in school we found a magnetic rock.

I first met Lauren at the Stewart’s home in Wilmington NC when my son and Bryan graduated from high school.  She was so supportive when Ian seemed apprehensive about college, especially UNC W. We then shared a bench with her at the airport in Raleigh that summer and we were able to calm her nerves about flying.  My heart hurts for Kevin and her family as Life is forever changed.  May the peace of God help you now and always.  Love never dies.  

I would first like to send my condolences to her family, friends and loved ones. Lauren was a very special person to me and my daughter. She taught my daughter for 2 years, starting with 3rd grade. She always checked on us to see if we were okay. Even when my daughter wasn't her student anymore.  It broke my heart to hear of her passing. She was truly a beautiful and loving person. It takes a village to raise a child, and Lauren was apart of my daughter's village. We will truly miss her radiant smile.

First, my deepest condolences to Lauren’s husband and family. Lauren was a radiant soul of light. She was a rainbow. She was the sweetest. Everyone loved her. Staff, students, and parents. Lauren would often come down and check on the first graders. She spoke everyone’s love language. May she Rest In Peace and be the Angel above, as she was below on earth. 

Mrs. Stewart,  was my sons (Kingston) 4th grade teacher.  She communicated with me daily regarding his progress. She was an exceptional teacher.  So thankful that he had the opportunity to be taught by such a wonderful person. She was patient, kind and very engaging. She will truly be missed.  

Lauren was an amazing woman. I met her through the elementary ed program at UNCW. She was a bright light, a leader to her peers, a great friend, and had a heart of gold. I could tell she was born to teach. Her kindness meant so much to me. There are no words to equal what a wonderful human she was. I know the impacts she made here on Earth will never be forgotten. I am praying for her husband, sweet family, and friends and that God wraps his arms around you in this unbelievable time. My thoughts and prayers are with y'all. Love you Lauren and thank you for all the good times. <3

The care and dedication you had for your students reminded me that even on the most difficult of days, teaching matters, and the kids see what you do for them. I am still in disbelief that you’re gone, and your loss will be felt by so many people. You were such a bright light for everyone in your life, full of laughter and kindness. I remember the last thing you said to me when i graduated 5th grade “come see me again”. And i’ve always wanted to come see her since, she was my 3rd and 5th grade teacher, I remember i ran outside one time while i was in 4th grade and yelled “My favorite teacher” and gave her a hug. We use to always go downstairs to see Ms.taylor in 4th grade, I can’t believe your gone though. It’s crazy because that same day she passed, me and my friends at school we’re talking about our favorite teacher and i said mine was Ms.Taylor, but they didn’t know her. When i found out she passed i just couldn’t believe it, At first i was thinking it had to be another Lauren Stewart that they could have gotten confused with.. but it wasn’t. I promise Ms.Taylor i’ll graduate collage, not just for me, but for her. I know she will be proud!

When Laura told me I might want to sit down, I didn't know what I was about to hear. When she told me that you had passed away, I felt my heart stop, like there is no way an amazing soul like you would be gone this soon!! 

I am so glad I got to work with you on the 5th grade team those two years. I saw first hand how special you were and how you were made for teaching!! Your love for the students was so infectious. You will be missed!! It was so hard driving over there the other day because it made me hurt again to know you are gone. Lauren thanks for all the great memories and you will be missed forever ❤️😇. 

Ms Taylor I never knew you personally but I felt like I did the way my grandson Caleb Watson would come home and talk about how caring and funny you were.  He loved being in your class and hearing of your passing broke his heart.  🥲💔 He said you were an amazing teacher and he will never forget you. 🦋

Mrs. Stewart, aka Ms Taylor was my English teacher and we shared many memories and it’s very hard get it through my head that she’s actually gone. Lauren left us too soon.  She was an amazing woman with a beautiful spirit. There are no words that can explain the sorrow and pain we feel for your loss.  You and your loved ones are in my thoughts and prayers. Please accept my condolences. 

Lauren was always full of infectious joy and laughter. We first became friends in high school during our Creative Writing class, talking about music, games, photography, and anything else we could think of. We had PEPI together senior year, and I distinctly remember her kindness and patience with each child. One of my favorite memories with Lauren was during our senior year, helping lead the Special Olympics with the other students. While we gradually drifted apart as life unfolded, I will cherish the good times we shared together, and will always remember the smile that never seemed to leave her face.

You will always hold a very special place in my heart. Until we meet again someday, I know you will be watching over me. Rest in paradise my beautiful girl. I love you forever and always.

There are too many memories to put into words. To name a few: playing (well watching Lauren play) animal crossing and pik min, going to the beach, singing the batman theme song, going to prom, working at Justice, getting our license, playing Sims, summer camp, trying to teach me to do a split, picking up Joey as a puppy, getting snowed in at my house, when she hit me with a stuffed animal horse and made me cry on accident, teaching me how to use eyeliner, crimping my hair. The list goes on and on. I love her. And I’ll miss her. 

Lauren, I just can’t believe you are gone. You were the most kindhearted person, and I just loved seeing that big smile when I would walk into the room. Such a beautiful person on the inside and out! I remember the last time we saw each other, we hugged for like a good 5 minutes…. Never thought that would be the last time. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and to your husband who I know will miss you dearly. You were an Angel on earth and I know you will continue watching over us! Love you girl! ❤️

Lauren was a rockstar of a teacher who truly gave her all to her students. She loved all of the children, even in other classes, as if they were her own. Many times she gave up snacks or pieces of her lunch to make sure they were fed. She stayed long after school was over to work on posters, lesson plans, or make phone calls to check in on her kiddos. As a teammate she was always there to collaborate and help out and would even show up with your favorite Starbucks order as a special treat. I’m thankful that my last year at East Garner was the best one yet, and that was because I was part of the dream team with her. Lauren, I know you are truly and deeply missed. Kevin and family, I am so sorry for your tragic loss. You have been and will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. 

Sweet Lauren was deeply loved and will be sorely missed. We started at East Garner together, taught 3rd grade together, led Girls on the Run together, and served as mentor coordinators together. Her smile and laugh lit up a room. I am so thankful to have known her. My deepest condolences to Kevin and to her family. 

Lauren's family- words cannot express the loss I feel as I think about Lauren. I am praying for your family.  Lauren was an amazing educator and I was lucky enough to call her my friend. Lauren, we will all miss you down here!
