John Edward Yarborough II, 61, of Apex, formerly of Greenfield, MA, passed away Saturday, February 18, 2017. John wanted it known that he died as a result of being stubborn, refusing to follow doctors’ orders and raising hell for more than six decades. He enjoyed the Boston Red Sox 2007 World Series win, long days of fishing and time well spent with his beloved family and friends.
John was born October 7, 1955 in Jacksonville, FL to Joan Bigelow and John Edward Yarborough I. An only child, John enjoyed living a life that would make his only child jealous through telling stories of his youth with a smirk on his face and a glimmer in his eye. He enjoyed spending time going on adventures with friends and traveling with family. He found joy in fixing problems under a car hood and learning more about history.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Joan, and his father, John.
John is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Marlene Anne Moser Yarborough; his beloved daughter, Megan Lynn Yarborough; his brother Glenn Yarborough; his sister Elizabeth Yarborough and various family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in John’s name to one of his favorite places, Second Chance Adoption Agency. The link is below and please choose the 'In Honor/Memorial Donation' option. https://www.secondchancenc.org/support-us/?src=menu_sub
