James will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Gina Riojas Freeman. He loved her to the moon. He is the very proud father of children Jordan- 8, Julie- 6, and James IV- 5. They were his everything.
James was born on July 13, 1982 in New Bern, NC. James truly lived life to the fullest, enjoying golf with the boys, Wolfpack sports (Go Pack!) and anything outdoors such as hunting, fishing, and camping. He could be found most summer weekends zooming around Jordan Lake on his boat with however many friends as he could fit.
His fun personality and laughter filled a room. He loved welcoming people into the home with the best hugs. James loved big with all of his heart, especially his family. James and Gina shared a beautiful, full life together surrounded by a loving family and so many friends who loved them dearly. He is truly beloved, and it is a testament to the man he was. The greatest way to honor him is to live life as he did, to the fullest.
Rather than a formal service, we will have a Celebration of his Life party. Please join us at the family home on Saturday, April 27th anytime after 3pm. There will be BBQ and other main dishes, but please feel free to bring anything else.
