Jacqueline "Jackie" Blankenship

Jacqueline Pollard Blankenship (Jackie), 82, born in Richmond, VA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 20, 2022. She had a servant’s heart. Her favorite way to show love was to offer a warm meal or invite people into her home. She was an active member of Salem Baptist Church in Apex, NC. Before moving to North Carolina she was a long time member of New Bethesda Baptist Church in Mechanicsville, VA. Though living in North Carolina, she was a Virginian through and through.

Jackie is survived by daughters: Annette Knox (Don) and Robbin Blankenship; grandchildren: Jennifer "Jenny" Knox, Ryan Knox, Parker Knox and Caroline Knox; sisters: Geroline Davis of Chesterfield, VA, Brenda Miller (Richard) of Gainesville, FL, and brother John Pollard of Blackstone, VA.

The family will receive visitors from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM on Tuesday January 25, 2022, at Salem Baptist Church, 1821 N. Salem St, Apex, NC 27523 followed by the funeral service at 1:00 pm with a reception in the fellowship hall.

A graveside service will take place on February 2 at 1:00 at Signal Hill Memorial Park, 12360 Hanover Courthouse Rd, Hanover, VA 23069, with a reception to follow at New Bethesda Baptist Church, New Bethesda Baptist Church, 9019 New Bethesda Rd

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Duke Dementia Family Support Program, Salem Baptist Church or New Bethesda Baptist Church.
