It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Isabella Julia Williamson, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend, who peacefully passed away on November 19, 2024, at the age of 93, surrounded by the love of her family in the comfort of her home.
Born on March 22, 1931, in New York, NY, to Guiseppe Veneziano and Maria Seminatore, Isabel was the embodiment of kindness, grace, and unwavering love for her family. She was predeceased by her parents, her loving husband of 63 years, Junior, her son Robert, her grandson Christopher, and her beloved siblings Joseph and Philip Veneziano, Lillian Raiti, and Agnes Giorgio.
She is survived by her daughters Maria Williamson (John Amato) of Cary, NC, Linda Williamson (Jim Card) of Holly Springs, NC, and Susan Campen of Apex NC, her son Joseph Williamson (Annette) of Apex, NC, and daughter-in-law Marita Sager of Germantown, NY. She was the proud grandmother to 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her cherished Golden Retriever, Donegan.
Isabel held the spouses of her grandchildren dear, as they brought even more love and happiness into her life. They enriched the family and made her world brighter, expanding the circle of love she so greatly treasured.
In addition to her immediate family, Isabel had a special place in her heart for her many nieces and nephews, who brought her so much joy and comfort throughout her life. She cherished these relationships, and they were an important part of the strong family bonds she so deeply valued.
A true matriarch, Isabel placed family above all else. She was the center of many family gatherings, always ensuring that everyone felt welcomed and loved. Her heart was vast, and she had the incredible ability to make each person who entered her life feel like they were part of her own family. She worked for many years as a childcare provider, caring for children in her home as well as in the homes of others. The children she cared for became like her own, and she took great pride in watching them grow and thrive. Her legacy lives on in the strength of the family bonds she nurtured throughout her life.
Isabel was known for her gentleness, compassion, and the joy she found in bringing people together. Her passing leaves a hole in the hearts of all who knew her, but the love she gave will continue to guide and inspire her family for generations to come.
A private service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to Transitions LifeCare 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh NC 27607.
Isabel’s family would like to express their deepest gratitude to everyone who has been part of her life, and to those who offered their love and support in her final days.
She will be forever missed but never forgotten.
