She was predeceased by her husband, Jesse Harvey Lewter; two sons, Jesse Ray and Wayne Lewter; and a grandson, Aaron.
She was the daughter of the late, Rommie and Magnolia Pendergraft. She lived most of her life in the Apex community on Hunter Street. In her retirement years, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends, caring for others and cooking.
A private service will be held at a later date. The family will receive family and friends for a visitation at Apex Funeral Home on Sunday, October 9, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Surviving are her children, Robert Lewter and Ann (Ken) Bobbitt as well as grandchildren, Michael, Chris, Jesse, Brett and Jennifer.
