Eric was born April 11, 1964 in Port Hueneme, CA to the late David Ray Garner and Keiko Histaki. He attended Charles E. Jordan High School and went on to study Business managment at Durham Technical Community College. He was a highly crafted refinisher in his professional life. He worked at several cabinet refinshing companies since the age of 15, the last one being CKS where he met his current wife Guadalupe O'Brien. They both had children from previous marriages, Eric with his daughters Kayle and Jessica; Guadalupe with her 3 children. They built a beautiful life together, one that involved Eric starting his own buisiness, with is wife along side. Eric was a man of many passions, aside from his love of woodworking, he also loved nature, fishing, and the beach. But for Eric there seemed to be no greater passion than when we discovered the off road world. Eric loved being on the trails and all the wonderful people and places he experienced because of it.
Eric is survived by his wife, Guadalupe O'Brien; daughters, Kayle Garner, and Jessica Garner; three step children, Arela Rivas, Stephanie Varela, and Jonathan Varela; eleven grandchildren; and his beloved members of Mud-N-Blood ORC.
A memorial service will be held at his home in Uwharrie at the Uwharrie National Forest. Eric would want his life to be celebrated and remembered at his happy place.
Memorials may be sent to his wife at their home in Apex, 8001 Everard Ct. Apex NC 27539.
