Eleanor Patterson

Eleanor Patterson passed away from Alzheimer's Disease on November 5, 2023 in Cary, North Carolina. Ellie was born in Tryon, North Carolina on Valentine’s Day and lived most of her 90 years in Connecticut and Maine.

She had an optimistic, generous spirit that touched everyone. Trained at the University of Connecticut as a teacher, she was always helpful, teaching in all the phases of her life. Ellie’s civic and religious volunteer efforts were extensive; she gave constantly to her community. Her pleasure in giving was always clear. She lived her life in service and echoing her birthday, was our constant Valentine.

Ellie was Kindness.

Ellie is survived by her husband of 67 years, George Patterson, her children George (Laura) Patterson & Eileen (Mark) Miller, sister Barbara (Joe) Went, her grandsons and great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
