Arlene Story Smith of Blowing Rock, NC, passed away December 31 at Cary Health and Rehabilitation in Cary. Arlene was born June 23, 1920 in Watauga County to Henry and Hester Story. She was the widow of William Bradley Smith of Raleigh who died in 1951.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Ginger and Simon Bate, and her grandson, Julian Bate, of Apex.
Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery with her husband in his family’s plot. Arrangements are pending.
