Patricia A. Johnson, 58, of Champlin, Minnesota passed away unexpectedly October 7, 2020. Patty was born November 30, 1961 in Richfield, MN to her parents Alvin and Doris (Siegle) Johnson. Patty had four siblings Mark, Shari, Kristi, and Brian. They lived in Lakeville, MN until the family moved to St. Louis Park, MN while Patty was in high school. Patty graduated from St. Louis Park High School in 1981 and went on to Model College of Hair Design in St. Cloud, MN to become a cosmetologist. She earned her cosmetology manager operator’s license in 1982. This was a lifelong passion from the time she was five years old with her first Barbie doll. Patty spent the next 40 years committed to the craft of hair. She loved to cut, color, style, and create. It never felt like work a day in her life.
After completing her cosmetology degree, Patty moved back to the Twin Cities and was married in 1986 to Steven Johnson. While married, she had three children Paula, Justin, and Joshua. Eventually the family moved to Champlin, MN where Patty lived most of her life.
Patty loved most of all to be with her children. She was a true support system for them and made sure to do everything in her power to make them happy. She loved to go on long walks with them in the evening. She loved learning and trying new recipes and often enjoyed having dinner with her children. She loved to be with people and to get to know them. She had a huge heart for others and making sure they were taken care of.
Patty is preceded in death by her parents Alvin Johnson, Doris (Siegle) McNabb, her sister Kristi Stark, and her brother Brian Johnson.
Patty is survived by her children Paula (Jacob Irving) Johnson, Justin Johnson, and Joshua Johnson, her brother Mark (Joan) Johnson, her sister Shari (Alvin) Wagner, and many nieces and nephews.
Patty was known for her kindness, tenderness, and giving nature. All those who had the opportunity to know her will miss her dearly.
A memorial service will be held 2 PM Monday October 19, 2020 at Gearhart Funeral Home 552 East River Rd, Anoka with visitation beginning at 1:30 PM.
Burial will follow in Morningside Memorial Gardens Cemetery 11800 University Blvd NE, Coon Rapids, MN.
In adherence to the Covid19 Pandemic gathering restrictions all guests are required to wear masks and practice social distancing. The services will be lived streamed on the Gearhart Facebook Page for those wishing to participate virtually. A celebration of life gathering and reception will be held by the family at a later date when the pandemic is more under control.
