Howard P. Zunker

Howard “Howie” Peter Zunker of Anoka, Minnesota, peacefully passed away in his home on October 31, 2022. at the age of 94 years. Howard was born on November 17, 1927. Howard was preceded in death by wife Elizabeth; parents Lillian and Phillip LeMay and sister Lois DiMartino. Howard is survived by his children, Gregory Zunker (Deborah), Diane Rauen (David), Judith Nestrud Null (Randal), Karen Ingram, Lisa Sainio (Dale Blanchette), Cheryl Zunker, and Steven Zunker; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and, extended family members including his sister-in-law Betty Moriarity, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will 11:00 am Friday, Nov. 11, 2022 at St Stephen’s Catholic Church in Anoka.

Visitation 4-7:30 pm on Thursday, Nov. 10, 2022 at Gearhart Anoka Funeral Home with a prayer and time of remembrance starting at 7:00 pm on Thursday at the funeral home. A second visitation will be from 10:00 am until time of mass on Friday at church.

A Celebration of Life will be held following the funeral at Bunker Hills Golf Club (bunkerhillsgolf.com). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in honor of Howard and Elizabeth Zunker.
