A visitation service for William will be held Wednesday, October 2, 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at 1:30 PM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 542 W 52nd St, Anniston, Alabama 36206. A burial will occur Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at Forestlawn Gardens, 730 Golden Springs Rd, Anniston, Alabama. Brother Bob Sharp will be officiating.
He is survived by his daughter, Kathleen Wilkens; son, William J. Wilkens Jr.; grandchildren, John Wilkens, Jennifer Wilkens and Mallory Wilkens; 2 great granddaughters; Special Friend, Lou Walker.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Wilhelime Kock; and Ruth J. Wilkens and Yvonne Wilkens.
Mr. Wilkens was in the Air Force from 1943 until 1946.
