Graveside services for Mrs. Vicki Kay Bussey, age 70, of Eastaboga, Alabama, will be Thursday, March 30th, 2023, 2:00 p.m. at Eastaboga Baptist Church Cemetery with Bro. Johnny Roberson officiating. The family would like to welcome friends on Wednesday, March 29th, 2023, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Gray Brown Service Mortuary.
Mrs. Bussey passed away on Monday, March 27, 2023.
Mrs. Bussey is survived by her husband, Don Bussey; her daughter Wendy Montoya; and her son Joey Bussey (Kim); her sister's Bobbie McSheridan (Paul Wayne), and Frieda Gallaway, her brother Tim Champion (Sherry), her brother in law Ron Bussey (Margaret) and her sister in law Angela Carter (Todd); her grandchildren Garrett Bussey, and Grayson Bussey and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Bussey was preceded in death by her father Willie Luther Champion Jr. and her mother Zella Janette Ingram.
Mrs Bussey attended Lincoln High School and worked as a CNA at Regional Medical Center for many years before retiring in 2009. She was a devout Christian of the Baptist faith. Mrs Bussey was a loving and selfless person who loved her family whole heartedly. The title in life that suited her best was the title of Nanny. Her bond with her grandsons was special. She loved having sleepovers, staying up late playing games, watching movies, and making sundaes with them. She took every opportunity she had to make memories for them. She will be deeply missed by her family.
Serving as pallbearers are Tyler Lucas, Cody Lucas, Richard Liner, Randy Rickettes, Brandon Urick and Vint Arnold.
