Sarah Snider Rhodes

Sarah Snider Rhodes of Anniston passed away on Friday, July 21st 2023. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at 1:00pm at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Choccolocco Alabama with Stanley Owen and Jackie Bentley officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:30 am until service time.

Sarah was born on January 27th 1937 in Calhoun County where she lived in the White Plains community until her marriage to Grady Rhodes in 1963. After the marriage, the couple moved to Anniston where they lived for the next 60 years.

She worked in the healthcare field for the majority of her career and retired after more than 40 years. She was Mother to 2 beloved boys, Eddie Rhodes (Karen) and John Michael Rhodes (Christy)

She enjoyed time with her family and going on vacation. Anything with her Grandchildren made her happy.

She was a faithful member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church for over 60 years.

She is preceded in death by her parents Guy and Annie Laura Snider. Her 3 brothers Gary, Herbert and Billy and her 3 sisters Hilda, Martha Jane and Beverly.

She is survived by her husband, her two children and six precious grandchildren Brent, Ryan, Allison, Bailey, Jordan and Riley. Two sisters Jean Boiling, Faye Oswalt (Bob) and one brother Vernon Snider (Ruthie) and many nieces and nephews.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Brent Rhodes, Ryan Rhodes, Kevin Oswalt, Rodney Snider, Jay Rhodes and Jabez Halcome.

Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be her Granddaughters.
