Robert C Jennings

Robert C. Jennings was born on August 1, 1939 in Opelika, AL and passed away on December 6, 2021. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary 6:00-8:00 pm. Funeral Service will be held Sunday, December 12, 2021 in the Chapel at Gray Brown- Service Mortuary at 2:00 pm with Pastor Marty Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.

Robert is survived by his daughters Sherry J. Morgan (Joe), Debra J. Adams (Dewey), Elizabeth J. Truett (Tim), Macie J. Mitchell (Michael) and Stephanie J. Burkhalter (Randy); his sister Cary E. Jennings Richardson (Steve); his brothers Arthur M. Jennings (Natallie) and Gregory P. Jennings (Terry); 20 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great- grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Robert is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 58 years, Shirley L. Hinton Jennings; his parents Oscar Marvin and Ethel Marie Lunceford Jennings; his brothers Oscar L. Jennings and Rudolph M. Jennings; his grandson Michael D. Thompson and his son-in-law Jim Wagoner Jr.

Pallbearers will be Joe Morgan, Tim Truett, Michael Mitchell, Randy Burkhalter, Michael Murray Jr. and Benjamin Allen.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Dewey Adams, Joshua Riggs and Jimmy Dowdey.

Robert was a loving husband, daddy and granddaddy. He loved Alabama football, hunting, fishing, animals and cherished his family.
