Martha Pendley Stokes

Memorial services for Martha Pendley Stokes will be 11 am Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at Meadowbrook Baptist Church with Rev. Marc Pendley officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 10 - 11 am at the church. Mrs. Stokes passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Piedmont Healthcare.

Survivors include her children, Mitchell Stokes (Anita), Raymond Stokes (Karen), Roger Stokes and Danny Stokes (Lisa), grandchildren, Dustin Stokes (Jessica), Leah Stokes, Bethany Perry (David), Andrea Stokes, Brett Stokes, Alex Stokes and Bridget Howell (Cody), great grandchildren, Hannah Perry, Noah Perry, Lucy Stokes and Owen Stokes.

Mrs. Stokes is preceded in death by her husband, Morris Leaton Stokes, parents, Clearcie King and Daniel Arthur Pendley, Sr., brothers, Eugene Pendley, Orval Pendley, Daniel Arthur Pendley, Jr., Hollis Pendley and Nathaniel Pendley, sister, Mirilee Pendley.

Martha was an avid gardener, cook, and homemaker. She was a loving wife for over 66 years. She was a loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great grandmother. Mrs. Stokes was a member of Meadowbrook Baptist Church.
