Marie Tidwell

Marie is survived by her daughter Susie Potts (Mike); her sons Bruce Tidwell (Martha); Frank Tidwell (Suzy); Tom Tidwell, Dana Tidwell; and Mark Tidwell (Mary Jane); her grandchildren Anna Williams (Brian), Sandra Turner, James Kirkland (Andrea), Paige Tidwell, Elaine Tidwell, Chris Tidwell (Amanda), Jeremy Tidwell (Bethany), Brittany Cobb (Harmon) and Tyler Tidwell (Chloe). Numerous Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews.

Marie was preceded in death by her husband Benjamin Franklin Tidwell; parents Thomas and Della Smith; brother Thomas Raymond Smith; sister Irene Smith; brother Thomas William Smith; brother Fred G. Smith; sister Barbara Green and brother Franklin E. Smith.

Funeral services for Marie will be Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Gray Brown Service Mortuary with Bro. Milton Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Anniston Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Serving as pallbearers are Chris Tidwell, Jeremy Tidwell, Tyler Tidwell, Harmon Cobb, Brian Williams and Maddox Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be the Fidelis Sunday School Class.

Marie was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church since 1975 and she attended the Fidelis Sunday School Class. She served over 30 years in the Alabama Court System and retired as the District Court Clerk of Calhoun County.
