John Wayne Shackelford

Funeral service for John Wayne Shackelford, (Ret. United States Air Force), 54 of Anniston will be 1:00 pm, Sunday, February 15, 2015 at Gray Brown-Service Chapel with Rev. John D. Collins officiating. Burial will follow at Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6:00-8:00 pm at the funeral home. Mr. Shackelford died February 11, 2015 at his residence in Anniston.

Survivors include daughter, Sheri Shackelford; son, Daniel Shackelford; parents, Harry and Mary Shackelford; siblings, Jeffery Shackelford (Mendy), Donald Shackelford, James Shackelford (Chun), Harriet Butterworth (Bruce), Dean Shackelford (Trina), Twana Wilson (Kenny) and Tracy Johnson (Terry); grandchildren, Kylie Davis, Jayden Davis and Ivonte Davis; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers and Honorary Pallbearers will be Daniel Shackelford, Christopher Shackelford, Craig Wilson, Scotty Rollins, Corey Shackelford, Terry Johnson, Chad Wilson, Jason Wheeler, Ashley Butterworth and James Shackelford.

Mr. Shackelford was a 1978 graduate of Saks High School and entered the U. S. Air Force in August of 1979 serving over 22 years. He received several medals and accommodations and continued his services at Anniston Army Depot. He was a beloved father, grandfather, son and brother and will be greatly missed.
