Jesse Jay Smith

Alexandria – Funeral services for Mr. Jesse Jay Smith, 54, of Alexandria will be Saturday, September 26, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Friday night from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Smith passed on September 22, 2015 at his home in Alexandria.

Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Megan Smith; daughter, Jesseca (Matt) Stinson; sons, Andrew Smith, Jesse Ward, and Alex (Chelsea) Ward; father, John Smith; sister, Susan (Tim) Pruitt; brothers, John R. (Shelia) Smith Jr., Christopher J. (Kelly) Smith, Stewart W. (Sue) Smith, and Richard J. (Barbara) Smith; brother-in-law’s, Phillip Abernathy, Gerald (Jolie) Smith, Kyle (Melissa) Smith, Lacy (Kim) Smith; sister-in-law, Ginger (Gene) Young; grandchildren, Anderson Smith, Anna Lambert, Addi Stinson, Brylee Ward, Cali Smith, Colton Ward, and Liam Lambert; and several nieces and nephews

Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his mother, Muriel Smith; sister, Denise Abernathy.

Pallbearers will be Nick Smith, Aaron Smith, Jared Pruitt, Josh Smith, Michael Stinson, Sean Smith, and Jeremy Smith.

Mr. Smith was a lifelong resident of Calhoun County and served in the US Air Force; he was employed with the Anniston Army Depot where he worked on heavy mobile Equipment.
