Curtis was a very unique person who lived life on his own terms. He was fiercely independent and loved watching Alabama football, watching old westerns, talking about history and politics, working on cars, piddling in his yard, hanging out with his brothers and friends, and visiting with his daughters and grandchildren. He loved being a PaPa. He had a sly sense of humor and always had a smile and a quick comeback.
Curtis was saved many years ago and was walking into Coldwater Creek one cold and early morning when his youngest brother, Pat, just happened to be driving by and saw. He quickly jumped out to watch him from the bridge as he was getting baptized; a memory the family has always cherished. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
