Connie M Hulse, age 60, of Auburn, Alabama passed away on Monday, August 8, 2022. Connie was born July 14, 1962. Visitation will be held at Chapel Hill Funeral Home Friday, August 19, 2022 1:00 p.m.- 2:00 p.m. A memorial service will begin in the Chapel at 2pm.
Connie is survived by her daughter Emily Ansick (William); and her son Charles Hulse (Rosemarie); her sisters Sylvia Boudreaux and Melissa Holt; her brother Rusty Boudreaux (Meredith); her grandchildren Miles and Charleigh Ansick, her step grandchildren Tanishia Thompson and Jeremy Whittemore , several nieces and nephews and her four legged companion Miss Annie.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Paula Boudreaux; her brother Rainer Boudreaux and her brother Melvin Boudreaux.
Connie was a dedicated member of 1st Baptist Church of Saks for several years until she moved away. She completed her worldly life at Community Congregational Holiness Church in Jacksonville where she met her best friends, Frankie and Jerry Anderson. She was a hard working mechanic at General Dynamics where she took much pride in building Strykers (eight wheeled army vehicles) for the US Army. The family would like to express their gratitude to the employees at GD for taking care of Connie while employed.
Connie had a new found hobby of walking the neighborhood with Miss Annie and gardening once she moved to Auburn. She loved talking to neighbors about their Azealeas, Crape Myrtles, Roses and other flowering plants. She particularly loved the pink and red flowers and would comment about how beautiful they were each time she'd see them. She was working on her own little flower garden out in front of her new mother in law suite. The family will continue perfecting her garden now that she can't.
Connie also enjoyed crocheting, bingo and going to the beach. She had a great love for her grandchildren and was grateful to spend the last year of her life so close to them. Her time here was too short and her presence is missed but her memories will be treasured by her children, grandchildren, friends and others for a lifetime.
The family asks for all of those who care for Connie to consider donating life. If you would like to purchase flowers, in lieu of cut flowers, please choose a potted perineal flower that the family can plant in Connie’s flower garden. And if you’d like to make a donation in Connie’s memory, please consider donating to American Kidney Foundation or American Diabetes Association.
