Brenda Faye Cox

Memorial service for Brenda Newell Davis Cox, 55, formerly of Oak Ridge, Mo. will be held at 5 p.m., Friday January 20, 2017, at House of Prayer Church of God in Oxford with pastor Jimmy Cole officiating. The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until service time at the church. Ms. Cox passed away Friday, January 13, 2017, at her home. Survivors include her daughters, Jenny Davis Bussey (William), of Anniston and Tara Davis Moudy (Michael), of DeArmanville; seven grandchildren, Autumn Moudy, Sean Bussey, Michael "Bubba" Moudy, Katy "Bug" Bussey, Summer Moudy, J.D. Bussey and Aubree Kendall; brothers, David Newell (Connie), of Thebes, Ill. and Mark Newell (Dot), of Scott City, Mo.; three nieces and a host of other relatives. Ms. Cox was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Gracie Bowers Newell, and brother, Harold Lee Newell. Brenda was a sweet and wonderful woman who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. A special thanks to Gentiva Hospice for all the care and support through this time.
