Jane L. Smith (Snooks) age 80, of Annapolis, died November 3, 2016 surrounded by her family. She was born to her parents John and Carrie Colburn on June 22, 1936. Jane married William (Bill) Smith on December 25, 1952. A pair of original “Annapolitans” they lived together in Annapolis their entire lives. Jane was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a woman of strong faith and enjoyed attending church. Jane’s hobbies included cooking, crabbing, fishing, volunteering in her church and helping others. She also had a love for shopping at the Dollar Store where she was affectionately nicknamed “Queen of the Dollar Store.” She is survived by her husband Bill, her children Ed (Bonnie), Laura (Rick), and Cindy (David); grandchildren Christopher, Michael, Matthew, David, Justin, Dylan, Erika, Kelly, and Dennis; 13 great grandchildren and her sisters Pat and Mary. Jane is preceded in death by her parents; her sisters Carol, Anne, and Christine; and grandsons Dustin and Adam Smith. Friends and family may call at the John M. Taylor Funeral Home Inc. 147 Duke of Gloucester Street, Annapolis, MD 21401 on Tuesday November 8th from 6 to 8 PM where services will be held Wednesday November 9th at 11 AM in the Taylor Chapel. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
