Alicia Tucker, 73, died on October 22, 2021, at her home of 46 years, in Annapolis, MD. Born in Brooklyn, NY on February 2, 1948, she was the only child of Eleanor Wisniewski. Mrs. Tucker graduated in 1965 from St. Adelbert’s Catholic High School in Brooklyn, NY. On an academic scholarship, she attended Brooklyn College and graduated in 1969 with a Bachelor of Science in Education. She taught at elementary schools in New York City and North Carolina and upon marrying her husband, she relocated to Annapolis. For many years, she taught at Annapolis Elementary School and ultimately many other schools in Anne Arundel County. While teaching, she completed post – grad work at Trinity University in Washington.
She was an active member of St. Mary’s church and participated in various clubs and activities throughout the area. She is survived by her husband of 47 years Norman J. Tucker Jr, of Annapolis, MD; her son, Norman J. Tucker, III and his wife Kimberly, of Ocean City, MD and her two grandchildren Noah and Magnolia.
The visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 26th, 2021 between 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm at John M. Taylor Funeral Home located at 147 Duke of Gloucester St. Annapolis, MD. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 27th at 9 am at St. John Neumann Church located at 620 N Bestgate Rd. Annapolis, MD. The burial will be held immediately after at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens located at 1911 Forest Dr. Annapolis, MD.
