Michael William Graf, age 77, of Ankeny, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2022. A Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, June 21, at Our Lady's Immaculate Heart Catholic Church in Ankeny at 10:30 am. Burial will take place at Ankeny Memorial Gardens, with Coast Guard Funeral Honors.
Michael was born on January 19, 1945, to Peter and Mary Ann (Richter) Graf in Mason City, Iowa. What Mike loved most was spending time with his family. Family gatherings, watching his grandkids play sports, playing cards around the table, and time with his siblings. He also enjoyed the Iowa Hawkeyes, the occasional poker game with the guys, a round of golf, coffee with the guys, and fishing.
Michael is survived by his children, Chris (Leslie) Graf, Michelle Platts, and Steve (Sarah) Graf; grandchildren, Nick, Haley, Katie, Devin, Ava, and Emma; siblings, Charlie (Pauline) Graf, John (Margaret) Graf, and Pat Patrick; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Susan, son-in-law, Kyle Platts, and brothers, Peter, Jim, Art, and sister, Mary Lou.
