Justin Thomas Farrell

A Celebration of Life for Justin is going to be held on Saturday, November 9th, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Boline – Manfredi VFW Post 9662, 1309 Northeast 66th Avenue, Des Moines, Iowa 50313.

Justin Thomas Farrell was born on March 18, 1978 in Emmetsburg, Iowa to Steve Michael and Denise Lynn (Utterback) Farrell. He met the love of his life and best friend, Wendy Lee Chumbley, at Ankeny High School where he graduated from in 1996.

After high school, Justin attended Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. After college, he returned to Ankeny where he was united in marriage to Wendy on June 2, 2001, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. There were three children to this union, Kaitlyn, Kailee and Kelsie.

After moving back to Ankeny, Justin went into sales at Dr. Pepper then later at Shorr Packaging. He was most recently working as an Account Executive at Yesco in Des Moines. Justin enjoyed golfing, fishing, Hawkeye football, and socializing with his friends. Most of all, he dearly loved spending time with his family.

Justin is survived by his wife of 23 years, Wendy Farrell; three daughters, Kaitlyn Farrell, Kailee Farrell and Kelsie Farrell; his parents, Steve and Denise Farrell; two sisters, Jamie Momany and Samantha (Clark) Bruellman; nephews, Jamel, J’Von, RaShaun, and Kylor; nieces, Jadayia, Alexis, and Adelynn, and paternal grandmother, Darlene Farrell, and a host of extended family members.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Ed Farrell and maternal grandparents, Loren and Ilomae (Sampson) Utterback.

In lieu of flowers, memorials will be directed to the family and be given to a charity of their choosing at a later date.
