Dwayne F Rife, 85, died June 5, 2023, in Ankeny Iowa of natural causes. He was born July 24, 1937, in Boise, Idaho to Harold F and Iretta W Rife. He grew up on the north end of Boise at the end of Harrison Blvd and Hill Rd. He loved the foothills, mountains, and deserts of Idaho. He graduated from Boise High School in 1955. After High School, he enlisted in the Air National Guard as an Aircraft Electrician. He attended Boise Junior College (Boise State) and the University of Utah, graduating in Electrical Engineering. He started his career in Lima, Ohio with Westinghouse Electric. In 1961 he married Martha Ann Rayl.
In 1970 he graduated with an MBA from Bowling Green State University and moved to Pittsburgh PA. His career with Westinghouse and Cutler-Hammer included assignments in Pittsburgh and St Louis MO. He lived in Pittsburgh until he retired in 1999. In 2000 he moved back to Boise where he enjoyed many happy years enjoying the Idaho mountains, traveling, and being with his grandchildren.
His first wife, Martha, passed away in 2013. He remarried in 2015 to Mary Lee Hill who passed away in 2022. Dwayne then moved to Ankeny IA to live with his daughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wives, and a daughter, Lynnette Ford. He is survived by a sister Kay Kennedy of Golden CO, brother Dal C Rife (Kathe) of Meridian ID, sister Marvel Boydstun of Boise ID, son David (Feliece) of St Charles MO, daughter DeAnn Cox (Daren) of Ankeny IA, son Sean (Trixie) of Akron OH, 15 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
