Lita S. DeGuzman

Lita was born on April 1st, 1945 in Echague, Isabella, Philippines to Severina Somera and Liborio Lim. She was the eldest of twelve. She studied at the University of Santo Thomas and became a Registered Nurse. She came to the United States with a working visa and soon after petitioned her parents and most of her siblings to come to the United States.

She married Pedro De Guzman on January 6th, 1973 at St. Boniface Church in Anaheim, California.

Lita was a devoted wife and beloved mother of two children, Theresa and Francis. She always provided love and support to her family and was always there when needed. She was the heart of her family and kept everyone united.

Lita was a gentle, kind, selfless, generous and forgiving person who everyone loved. She was a devoted Catholic and was very active at St. Justin Martyr Church with the church choir and Couples for Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents Severina Somera and Liboriio Lim, and two siblings Corazon and Alfredo. She is survived by her husband Pedro De Guzman, her daughter Theresa Honores and spouse Paul Honores, her son Francis De Guzman and wife Jocelyn De Guzman, and her 5 grandchildren: Jayden, Justin, Julia, Juell, and Justice. She is also survived by 9 other siblings.
