Alan Keith Lockhart

Alan Keith Lockhart, age 69, passed away on September 6, 2024 at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames, Iowa. He was born in Ames, Iowa on May 1, 1955 to Dr. William Russell and Barbara Enid (Powers) Lockhart.

Per Alan’s wishes there will be no formal funeral services.

He attended Ames High School. During his younger years, Alan was in Boy Scouts, and enjoyed skateboarding, sports, and juggling. He enlisted into the United States Marine Corps, serving his country honorably until his discharge a few years later. He attended ISU and then graduated from UNI with a degree in theater in 1985.

After college, he worked in retail. Alan enjoyed being outdoors, grilling, fly fishing, and spending time with his pets.

Alan is survived by his son, Eric Lockhart; siblings, Larry (Nancy) Lockhart, Tom Lockhart, and Sally Lockhart; niece, Heather (Scott) McNutt; nephews, Jeff Lockhart and Tye Rabens.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Barbara.
