Mausoleum with Tyler Leavitt of Trinity Fellowship Willow Creek Church officiating.Vicki was born on October 20, 1950, the daughter of HL and Mary Peters. She resided at Lubbock State Supported Living Center in Lubbock, Texas at the time of her passing.Vicki was a good, sweet girl. A special gift from God to her family and many others. She showed and taught us what love, kindness, gentleness, and joy looked and felt like. Her smile and sweet giggle when you came into her presence will always be a treasure. Vicki loved baby dolls, stuffed animals, purses with money inside, cards from home with more money to go to the canteen for her favorite treat! She loved visits with her family and to dress up like she was going out on the town. She loved Cheetos, soft drinks, and Chili Frito pie! Singing “Happy Birthday” to her made her giggle no matter the day. If you were one of Vicki’s favorites, you knew it! All without her ever speaking a word. She loved our visits, but when it was time for us to go, she let us know. She would blow us a kiss and wave us on our way. She was so loved. She took all the love for her and then multiplied it to give out to those around her. She will be missed but, in our hearts, we are rejoicing for her because she is now who God created her to be...perfect, healthy, and whole. We can only imagine the conversations in Heaven going on with her right now!
Vickie was preceded in death by her loving Parents, HL and Mary Peters, Grandparents Hunter and Sally
Peters and Delbert and Francis Morris.
Vicki is survived by her brother Ronnie Peters, her sisters Diane Werschky and husband Carlton, Marena
Ingels and husband Steve. Nephews Dustin Howell, Josh Howell, Hunter Peters, Austin Ingels and Sam
Werschky. Nieces Kendra Baggett, Gentry Ingels, Lisa Werschky and Amanda Johnson and many great
nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by many loving cousins, friends and her Lubbock State
Supported Living Center Family. Vicki and her family have been blessed for many years by the love and
care these great people have given to Vicki. They made her life the best it could be. Vicki could never
express gratitude in her own words, but each person who took care of Vicki knows the appreciation and
love she had for them. As a family our admiration, deep appreciation, and thankfulness can never be
expressed in words as well. The family wishes to extend profound gratitude to Beyond Faith Hospice and the Lubbock State Supported Living Center. Vicki’s family had been so blessed to have her as their child, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, or grandchild. She was an inspiration and always will be to all those who loved her. She taught us many things, one being we all can make a difference in this world.
Her journey doesn’t end here.......
In lieu of flowers the family requests you give someone you care about a hug, blow them a kiss or... sing
their favorite song just to give them a smile.
