Bob King passed away on Monday, April 8, 2024 in Amarillo, Tx. Bob served in the United States Army, where he spent time in Panama. After his time in the military, Bob moved to Amarillo, Tx, in 1975, where he met his wife, Barbara, of 46 years. He worked for and retired from the State of Texas, first at the Texas Employment Commission and later the TDCJ. He adored his family and loved the Arkansas Razorbacks (Go Hogs) and Dallas Cowboys.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Irene Freeman.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara King; daughter, Carla Fristoe and husband, Hugh; stepson, Roy Finken and partner Janet; stepdaughter, Neatha Needham and husband Junior; grandchildren, Stetson Terry and wife, Jessica, Clayton Terry and wife, Dusty, Kacee Terry and partner Blake, Mabry Fristoe, Maddox Fristoe, Victoria Yarger and husband, Devin, Harley Needham and partner Garrett; great-grandchildren Maycee, Wyatt, Cooper, Calebi, Houston, and Hayes; brother, PD King; and numerous nieces and nephews, including Darlene Spencer, Kathy Felder and husband Foy, Christal Christian and Tara Christian.
Gathering for family and friends will be Sunday, April 14, 2024.
