Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with Pastor Rodger Johnson of Northside United Pentecostal Church officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40.
Reta was born March 7, 1941, in Santa Barbara, Calif., to James and Reta Chambers. She married Ralph Cole on Aug. 20, 1955, in Clovis, N.M. They owned Ralph’s Express Mart in Olton and Hart for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Cole; a son, Ralph Cole Jr.; her parents, James and Reta Chambers; two sisters, Jean Chambers Hanes and Barbara Chambers; and three brothers “Bud” James Chambers Jr., Leonard Chambers and Billy Wayne Chambers.
Survivors include three sons, Leslie and Venita of Rowlett, Ron and Linda of Amarillo and Royce and Tammy of Silver City, N.M.; five daughters, Rhonda and Randall Guinn of Brigham City, Utah, “Becky” Rebecca Cole and Riva Torres of Plainview, “Betty” Roberta Cole of Lubbock and Renee and JD Voyles of West Virginia; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren (adopted ones too); lots of nieces and nephews; two brothers “Dale” Emery Chambers of Utah and Michael “Mike” Chambers of Trinity; and two sisters, Beverly Connell of western Nebraska and Mary Chambers of Tooele, Utah.
The family would like to send a special thanks to the staff of Texas Oncology, Interim Hospice and Northside United Pentecostal Church of Amarillo for all you have done for our mom and grandmother.
