Norma was born December 24, 1923 in Dallas to Robert and Louise Nitshke. She was a member of St. Stephen Methodist Church and while there was part of the Garden Club and the Meet and Eat Group. Norma was also very involved in bible study. She worked as a legal secretary for many years and was also a docent at the art museum. Norma was a sweet person who loved her gardening and she will be greatly missed by all who loved her and knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a daughter, Frances Pickens Laney. Norma is survived by her daughter, Barbara Simpson and husband Randall of Harlingen; sister, Dottie Haggen of College Station; also by 5 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
