Mary D. Marez

Mary D. Marez, 89 of Amarillo passed away November 10, 2016. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 16, 2016 at Christian Heritage Church with Pastor Craig Lawlis officiating. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery by Memorial Park Funeral Home 6969 I-40 East. Mary was born April 8, 1927 in Vaughn, New Mexico to Paul and Begenia Sandoval. She loved her Lord and her children with an everlasting love. Mary was a wonderful cook who passed that on to her children, but no one could top her cakes she made for birthdays. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend who will be forever missed. The family wants to give a special thanks to all the Kindred Hospice nurses and staff as well as Evany who cared for her with love. She is survived by her sons, Daniel Marez and wife Susan and Jerry Marez and wife Esmeralda; daughters, Helen Marez and companion Paul, Rita Cuellar and husband David, Linda Lopez and husband Mario and Betty Olivarez and husband Louis; brothers, Leo and Paul Sandoval; sister, Alice Gonzales; her 31 grandchildren, 106 great-grandchildren and 30 great-great-grandchildren; she is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Marez; daughter, Frances Chavez; grandson, Phillip Spencer and also several great-grandbabies.
