Mary Cook

She was born July 21, 1945 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to Elmer and Genevieve Murdock. Mary graduated from Memphis High School in 1963, a few years later on March 21, 1969 she married Jimmie Cook. Mary enjoyed being a wife and mother to her 3 sons. She was active in all of her children’s school activities and sports events. Mary was busy being a wonderful stay at home mom then eventually branched out to help with Montessori school. She loved cooking, watching westerns with her husband and talking on the phone with friends and family. Mary enjoyed going to church with her friends and grandchildren on Sundays. She loved visiting with anyone and would enjoy any and all conversations.

Mary is survived by her sons; Chawn and wife Eva Cook of Amarillo, Jimmie and wife Christa Cook of Amarillo, Lindsey Cook of Panhandle, 2 brothers; Sonny and wife Billie Jean Murdock of Memphis, Texas, Jesse Murdock of Clarendon, Texas, grandchildren; Holly Stover of Missouri, Caigon Cook of Austin, Cheslee Cook of Allen, extended grandchildren; Randall Strickland, John Inman, and Dalton Tallent, Ryan Brown and wife Sydnie of Amarillo, Ashleigh and Micah Wilson of Borger, Halee and Kevin Sandstrom of Amarillo.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Jimmie Cook.

Mary will be missed by both her family and friends.
