Mr. Adams “turned the page” on December 21, 2013. No services are scheduled at this time. Arrangements are by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 I-40 East. Inurnment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery by Memorial Park Funeral Home. He was born February 1, 1947 to William A. Adams and Eula Cleo Chitty in Roscoe, Texas. Gary is survived by his loving wife and best friend Mary Jean Adams of 32 years. Gary graduated from Caprock High School in 1965 and became a member of The International Brotherhood of Boilermakers – Iron Ship Builders-Blacksmith Forgers and Helpers in 1965. He retired in 2002 after 37 years of proud service, having spent his last nine years as business manager/secretary treasurer of local Lodge 531.
After traveling in the construction Industry most of his life, Gary spent his retirement years at his “castle” with Mary Jean and his other best friends Nicklaus and Fortune.Gary was a Master Mason and member of the Scottish Rite. The family suggest memorials be to Faith City Ministries or Amarillo Chapter of S.P.C.A.
