Nécrologie de Sandra Ann Johnson
Sandra Ann Johnson peacefully departed her earthly life on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at her home in Fort Washington, Maryland. Sandra was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on October 20,1963, to the late Harold Scott Sr. and Dorothy E. Crouch. Sandra accepted Christ as her savior at an early age and was baptized in Kenner, Louisiana. Throughout her life Sandra maintained a very strong faith in God, and her life was a dedication and direct reflection of that faith. Sandra attended and graduated from Grace King High School in 1981. In 1979, while attending Grace King, she met her husband, Nolan Johnson. Happily in love, the two married on September 28th, 1985. Becoming a military family, the two along with their first-born daughter, relocated to Fort Belvoir, Virginia in the same year. Committed to retail management, Sandra was employed as a General Manager for 19 years at Rainbow Shops. Passionate about producing and leading from the front, she consistently led her store location to rank in the companies’ top five during her tenure. She also led various other retail stores to the same victory prior to joining Rainbow. Outside of her career, Sandra loved reading novels, exploring interior design and home decor; and planning extravagant celebrations for her loved ones. She was also known as a philanthropist of the community, as she oftentimes held Back to School drives, donated to the families of the local churches, and coordinated several celebratory events. One word to best describe Sandra, is selfless. She will forever be remembered as a generous woman that extended lots of love, grace, care, compassion, and consideration to her family, friends, community, and even strangers. Sandra Ann Johnson was the loving wife of Nolan J. Johnson Jr. A caring and supportive mother to Natasha Walker, Dominique During, and Anita Johnson. A kindhearted mother-in-law to Chesman Walker. A warm and dear grandmother, or “Nana”, to Antonio Hudnell, Arie Walker, and Alessia Lucas. An earnest sister to Ivory (Jean) Crouch, Sonia Adams, Caprina Crouch, Deprina Crouch, Yolanda (Willie) Richards, and Kimytha Crouch. She leaves to cherish her memories, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Sandra Johnson was preceded in death by her mother Dorothy Crouch and her sister Deborah Miller.
