Eva Teresa Locke

Locke, Eva Teresa (age 89), born in Kashing, China, the only daughter of Dr. Ling Sun Woo and Else Schley, left her family on December 12 to join Lawrence, her husband of 59 years, in heaven. She received her undergraduate degree from Mount Saint Joseph in Ohio. She traveled with the family through diplomatic posts in Southeast Asia and worked as manager of U.S. embassy commissaries in several posts. She was Business Manager at the Dixie Pig in Alexandria, VA prior to retirement. She was an active participant at the South County Senior Center for the past two decades. Eva leaves behind her children and their spouses, William (Marilyn), Edward (Alissa), Thomas (Mary Ellen), Mary Ann (Marc), as well as 10 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren who arrive in 2017. Viewing is scheduled for Sunday, December 18, 2016 between 1 pm – 4 pm at Demaine Funeral Home, 520 S Washington St, Alexandria, VA 22314 where a funeral service will be held on, Monday, December 19, 2016 at 10:30am. Interment will follow at Mount Comfort Cemetery, 6600 S. Kings Highway, Alexandria, VA 22306.
