Lynda Carleen Murphy, age 76, of Hot Springs, went peacefully into eternity on Thursday August 24, 2023. She was born on July 6, 1947, in Colusa, CA to the late Eugene and Paula Miller. Lynda is also preceded in death by her siblings and two of her grandchildren.
Lynda’s sisters, Vlasta Armstrong, Phyllis Johnson and her brother, Lester Miller maintained contact throughout the years, sharing their lives and stories.
Lynda spent the majority of her life in Southern California, before retiring to Hot Springs in 2021.
Lynda was a hard worker as evidenced by her working two jobs most of her life. She was a clerk for the Los Angeles County School District and worked as a bartender in the evenings and weekends. Lynda was a proud member of the VFW.
Lynda is survived by her three children, Lee Annette Guzman (Gabriel) of Hot Springs, Ron Farmer (Darlene) of Hot Springs, and Jenise Turner of Las Vegas, NV. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Amethyst Tagle York, Rebecca Bermudez, Eliza Bermudez, Aubrie Farmer Hobby, Callie Farmer Porterfield, Neachelle Turner, and Devon Turner and six great-grandchildren.
A visitation for Lynda will be held Wednesday, August 30, 2023 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at Pinecrest Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 7401 Highway 5 N, Alexander, Arkansas 72002. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, August 30, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 7401 Highway 5 N, Alexander, Arkansas 72002. A burial will occur Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at 11:00 AM, 7401 Highway 5 N, Alexander, Arkansas 72002.
Lynda will be laid to rest in Pinecrest Funeral Home & Memorial Park.
