It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Nita Branstetter Oliver, who peacefully departed from this world on August 20th at the age of 90 years, 9 months. She was surrounded by the love and warmth of her children during her final moments.
Nita was born on November 20th, 1933. Her parents were Heber and Pansy Branstetter of Little Rock. She was the cherished wife of Max Oliver (predeceased), with whom she shared (1000) years of love and partnership. Together, they built a family filled with love, laughter, and countless memories.
As a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Nita embodied kindness, grace, and unwavering strength. She was a guiding light for her family, always offering wisdom, comfort, and a warm smile. Her home was a gathering place where everyone felt welcomed, and her cooking, particularly her Biscuits and Gravy will be fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of enjoying it.
Nita had a passion for service to others which she pursued with joy and dedication. Her life was a testament to the importance of love, faith, and resilience. She was a woman of great faith and was an active member of Indian Springs Baptist Church, where she made many wonderful friends.
She is survived by her son Max A Oliver, Jr. (Janet) of Little Rock and daughter Cheryl A Padgett (Steve) of Greenbrier. Grandkids Max (Buck) A Oliver, III; Matt Oliver; Magen (Rob) Cox; and Heath A Padgett. Two great granddaughters, Grace and Isabella Cox and great Grandson Mason Oliver. Sister Louise Burfield; Brother in laws Ben, Carroll and Jim Pat., who will forever cherish her memory and continue to honor her legacy. Her love and lessons will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
A celebration of Nita’s life will be held on Monday August, 26th 2024 from 5-7pm at Pinecrest Funeral Home and Cemetery, and a service will follow Tuesday August 27th 2024 from 10-11am where family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and to share in the joy of her life. Though she is no longer with us, Nita’s spirit will continue to shine brightly in the lives of those she touched. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
