George Cox Wyatt

George Cox Wyatt, Jr., 72, of Mabelvale, passed peacefully, March 5, 2016. He left this life surrounded by loved ones, knowing that he was going to be with God. He was born July 6, 1943 in Little Rock, Arkansas to George and Mary Wyatt. George attended the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville and was a veteran of the Vietnam War.

George was a quiet spoken, humble man who never boasted about his accomplishments. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. George liked to work with his hands and build things. He enjoyed being in his workshop, working on projects and spending time on the lake. When he was younger he had a need for speed, enjoying boat racing, using alternative fuel.

George started his own business in 1980, building custom industrial equipment. He was proud that he had a perfect safety rating. Some of the things he helped to build for the Arkansas Lighthouse for the Blind were reworking equipment to make it safer for disabled employees and vehicle sealing mechanisms used in windows and sunroofs. He helped modify equipment that was used to manufactured combat boots for the soldiers of Desert Storm. One of George’s favorite projects was installing equipment to help control the overhead mobile in the center of Arkansas Children’s Hospital.

George was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, John Jarrell Wyatt. He is survived by his wife, Kelli Kathleen Wyatt; three children, Gina Wyatt Lineberger (Jon), Matthew Wesley Wyatt, Beau-Dillon Wyatt; one brother, William Whitlow Wyatt (Linda); three grandchildren, Hailey, Lauren and Luke Lineberger; a host of loving family and friends and three special furry friends.
